Sten Tamkivi
Sten Tamkivi is Co-founder at Plural Platform. He invests in legendary tech companies in their earliest stages via Plural Platform, with Ian Hogarth, Khaled Helioui, Taavet Hinrikus and other European founders. Taavet+Sten also do many other things together outside early tech.
Previously he founded Teleport (acquired by Topia in 2017) and served at Skype as an early executive, riding the roller coaster for over 8 years from startup to ~300M active users, ~30% share of all international calling minutes in the world and a $8.5B exit to MSFT.
Sten started his entrepreneurial career founding the first digital media agency in Estonia at the age of 18 and has stayed on the forefront of internet, user experience design and software development scene since 1996.
Sten values a tolerant, open and creative society, speaks up for entrepreneurship, supports the startup movement, occasionally invests, pushes for better tech education and has advised President Ilves of Estonia on the above.
