Shiv Malik is CEO at Pool, instigating Data Unions. Formerly Head of Comms for Streamr, building data unions with Streamr, The Guardian investigative journalist. Author of The Messenger published by Faber & Faber, Co-author Jilted Generation. Passionate about economics, decentralization & Mutualism.

Shiv Malik is a former investigative ​journalist who along with reporting from Afghanistan and Pakistan, also worked for the Guardian for five years breaking exclusive front page stories on everything from UK ​government to ISIS. He's the author of two books (one forthcoming) including the 2010 cult book Jilted Generation and is a co-founder of the think-tank, the Intergenerational Foundation. In 2017 he spent six months as a communications advisor to the Golem project in Poland. He’s now very excited to be head of communications for Streamr. ​
