Sarma Protocol

Sarma is a protocol that achieves the public and private execution duality on any EVM-compatible blockchain.

The Sarma is an encrypted blob of data, which is transferred by an EVM Smart Contract from address to address in a regular transaction, without knowing what is inside, but under a condition that a ZK proof verifies to allow this movement. On the other end of the movement stands the recipient, who can decrypt this encrypted blob of data with the correct ZK proof verification and spend it(execute it in public) or send it to another private address. In other words, one can send private(encrypted) transactions on any existing EVM blockchain where the data is inherently public with the ability of cross-chain private travels, thus making the bridge less corruptible and safe.

Sarma started as a hackathon project that won 10 awards at one of the biggest hackathons of 2023 at Devconnect, Istanbul. It secured a spot in the top 10 projects among 427 successful submissions.
