Rachel Chu

Rachel Chu is a builder, angel investor, and wanna-be creative. I contribute to Solayer Labs: the restaking protocol on Solana ($115M total value locked, backed by Polychain and Binance Labs). Previously, I was the core contributor at Sushiswap, a decentralized trading protocol ($6.5B total value locked, $272.24b in trading vol) that was fair-launched in September 2020, led product, strategy, partnerships, etc with a mission of bringing open access of finance to the masses in the most decentralized and permissionless fashion. I invest in crazy things. I am a venture scout a Sequoia Capital US. I studied (conti.) at UC Berkeley for undergraduate in electrical engineering, with a niche focus on reinforcement learning/neuroscience. I dropped out as a recipient of Thiel Fellowship. Prior to that, I studied at Stanford University for computer science. Technology of interest: permissionless networks, brain-computer-interface, humanoid robotics.
