Peiyao Sheng

Peiyao Sheng is a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, currently a visiting researcher at Princeton University, advised by Prof. Pramod Viswanath. She has interned at Chainlink Labs, where she was advised by Dr. Dahlia Malkhi. Her research focuses on the foundational scientific and engineering topics that are crucial to blockchains being ubiquitous in society. The practical applications of her research are exemplified by Witness Chain, a startup she is building to unify DePIN economy. She received the Bachelor’s degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in ACM Honors Class, Zhiyuan College. She was a research intern at UIUC advised by Prof. Bo Li. In SJTU, she worked on Automatic Speech Recognition and Machine Learning with Prof. Kai Yu and Prof. Yanmin Qian in SpeechLab.
