OpenSats support and maintain a sustainable ecosystem of funding for free and open source projects and contributors, especially Bitcoin related projects and projects which help Bitcoin flourish. For Bitcoin and other free and open source software to thrive, we believe it takes contributors from a variety of backgrounds and industry verticals. OpenSats will fund software developers, but also designers, reviewers, researchers, educators, and others who support these free and open source tools. Bitcoin relies on many complementary technologies to succeed and reach its fullest potential. OpenSats is committed to funding Bitcoin as well as these technologies on the periphery including scaling technologies, secure communication protocols, self-custody solutions, second-layer tech, educational resources, research and design contributors, etc. OpenSats is committed to providing a platform with no fees and 100% passthrough of all donations to projects and the general fund made via our platform.
