Matthew Ballensweig

Matthew Ballensweig is Head of Go Network at BitGo, building a new financial ecosystem in digital asset markets. Previously at Genesis and Bridgewater. I have a strong traditional finance background paired with a deep understanding of digital asset trading and market structure. I previously ran institutional sales and trading at Genesis, one of the leading digital currency trading firms and a subsidiary of Digital Currency Group. I have a passion for working with and understanding people, cultivating meaningful relationships, solving challenging problems at a strategic level and exploring new and interesting ideas and opportunities. I'm an extroverted, proactive person with a natural tendency to lead others and initiatives. I value progress and understanding, pertaining to both myself and the world around me. I want to work with people who value similar things and strive towards a common goal, together. I constantly push myself to reflect on what it is I'm actually working towards, to see the big picture, to search for answers and enjoy the beautiful things in front of me and alongside me as I go.
