Kamen Angelov
Kamen Angelov is Chief architect for kChannels, Senior Software Engineer at ConsenSys. I have 15 years of experience in the enterprise at various positions ranging from software developer to technical architect. I am comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and have a solid track record of meeting and exceeding customer expectations. My duties routinely include designing technical solutions for entire enterprise systems based on customers’ requirements, as well as their implementation. I also regularly mentor and lead less experienced team members. I follow a very user-centric approach: I focus on the stakeholders of my project, their goals and their needs, and then build a system around them to help them. As a long-time consultant I have had exposure to all major technologies, languages, frameworks, databases, operating systems, and tools, many of which use every day for both work and pleasure. I have extensive experience analyzing legacy systems in order to retrofit them for use within modern environments, as well as to drastically improve code readability and testability. I have extensive experience designing and consuming web services in different environments, including RESTful services. I have extensive experience with both waterfall methodologies as well as both major flavours of Agile: Scrum and Kanban. I very much enjoy experimenting with new ideas, technologies and architectures, and often introduce them to customers for use within projects in order to expedite project implementation and reduce cost. I am always willing to learn something new. I hold a first-class Bachelor of Sciences degree with Honors from Queen’s University in two disciplines: Computer Science and Physics. I am also a TOGAF-certified technical architect.
