Hilo is an inclusive blockchain and crypto-community that synthesizes information, news, public opinion, and supports people in learning about the future of money. Hilo is a platform for beginners, experts, and influencers to share resources and information. Most of our team was lost or overwhelmed when we tried to learn about cryptocurrency. All of the entry level content ended with the same conclusion: blockchain is a revolutionary technology, so get involved. But how could we get started and apply what we read? After making an initial investment through an entry level exchange, the next step was anything but obvious. The online communities where much of the discussion takes place were relatively walled off – as a newcomer or even as an enthusiast, it was hard to break in. So many members of our team had to turn to friends and family who were farther along in the process of teaching themselves. Learning from someone who had been through the process helped expedite our understanding of the cryptocurrency. Luckily for our team, most of us had very knowledgeable friends who could take the time to train us, and who also wanted a community where they keep learning and growing. This is the start of Hilo.
