Overview

David Weber is Head of Institutional Markets at PayPal, building PayPal USD (pyUSD). I lead partnerships for launching and growing PayPal USD. My role consists of working with institutions to grow pyUSD market cap, transaction volume, and number of holders through verticals such as payments, trading, custody, cross-boarder remittances, and settlement. I also have a hand in strategy for helping shape pyUSD roadmap including launching on new blockchains, interoperability of blockchains, marketing promotions, legal / risk strategy, and more. Recent pyUSD accomplishments include: - Reaching $1b in market cap and being supported across most of the crypto ecosystem, including at companies such as Coinbase, OKX, Grab, Fireblocks, and Crypto.com - Launching a hackathon to support the developer community - Launching business accounts so millions of merchants can on/off ramp pyUSD - Integrating pyUSD with Xoom so users can remit with a faster and cheaper payment method
