Binance X
Binance X, a new initiative to foster innovation on the Binance platform and blockchain ecosystem at large. It is also the Binance Smart Chain Accelerator Fund, an arm of Binance. At Binance, our long-term mission is to provide infrastructure to enable the freedom of money. With that as a guidepost, we have rapidly evolved towards that mission by expanding our suite of products. Not too surprisingly, the number of developer-facing products has also increased accordingly. Our core exchange already has APIs to programmatically access exchange functionality. And that includes margin trading and very soon will also include lending and futures as well. Beyond the exchange, we also have a multi-chain, non-custodial wallet called Trust Wallet, a public blockchain with native DEX capabilities called Binance Chain, and a platform that tracks charitable donations via the blockchain offered by our Binance Charity Foundation. In other words, we have become a platform that third-party developers can build and leverage for their own products and services. As a platform that is rapidly evolving, there is a need to provide a cohesive way to engage and support developers in our ecosystem, and thus, Binance X is conceived. A developer typically comes to a new platform to learn how to build on the various products, find other developers to collaborate with, and get help on growing their project. We want to service those specific needs, so we organize our activities around these three themes of Learn, Collaborate and Grow. Under Learn, we provide official and eventually third-party resources to help you learn and reference relevant information. Under Collaborate, we provide tools and channels where you can engage, both online and in real life, with relevant Binance teams and other third-party developers. Under Grow, we refer you to different programs at Binance designed to help projects at different stages of maturity level up to the next phase of growth. One of the programs we started at Binance X was the Binance X Fellowship Program. It was designed to support talented developers in creating free and open-source software that would enable new innovations and businesses in the crypto economy. Since the program started earlier this year, we have on-boarded about 40+ projects across various ecosystems. Here are a few highlighted fellowship projects: GoBNB by Hammad Tariq BEPTools by John-Paul Thorbjornsen, Cameron Stuart, Nadeem Shaikh BrowserBNB and BNBTextWallet by Nikita Kozlov, Alexandr Safonov PISA by Patrick McCorry, Sergi Delgado Segura Burner Wallet by Austin Griffith OP_SECURETHEBAG by Jeremy Rubin At Binance X, we will be channeling our inner Ballmer to help developers maximize their potential and growth on the Binance platform. We are super excited to see all the innovations that would come out of this developer community.
