Angie Ramirez is Software Engineer at LivePeer, the decentralized video streaming network. Formerly at Yale University, BuzzFeed, TeachForAmerica. I build video software at LivePeer, a decentralized platform for video encoding centered on the Ethereum network. Livepeer is a marketplace between encoding providers (the supply side) and app developers who need video-streaming services (the demand side). We just raised an $8 million Series A venture round. As someone who spent the first ten years of her life in Colombia, is a citizen of three countries (United States, Colombia, and Spain), has travelled to, lived in, or worked in over 40 countries, I am well adapted to working in diverse, distributed, fast-paced environments.
