Anessa Santos

Attorney Anessa Allen Santos has 16 years’ experience providing trusted business counsel to technology startups and scaleups on matters of blockchain and fintech, business law and governance, compliance and consulting, intellectual property, technology and securities. Often serving in the tripartite roles of Business Consultant, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for her clients, Anessa has extensive experience working with entrepreneurs, engineers and investors, papering their every step with native drafting from idea to exit while ensuring compliance with complex regulatory frameworks. A former adjunct law professor, Anessa is a frequent guest lecturer for the Florida Bar Association, and at select Universities, conferences and seminars on varied topics such as the business of startups and the law, blockchain and ethics in data analytics, intellectual property and securities. Voted in Orlando’s Best Lawyers, Anessa mentors Oralndo’s technology accelerator, “Starter Studio”. She is a Director on the Boards of the Florida Blockchain Business Assocation and Byte Federal, and is an active member of the Computer Law and Technology Committee, the Blockchain and Digital Currency Taskforce and the Technology Law Committee of the Florida Bar Association. A former OxFam ambassador, Anessa has experience lobbying the U.S. Congress on behalf of vulnerable women and children around the globe. Fluent in Spanish, Anessa has been a frequent guest on local radio and television shows aired on Univision and Telemundo and authored numerous articles on related matters for Spanish publications. Anessa has formally studied Blockchain Strategies and FinTech at the University of Oxford where she is an alumna of Saïd Business School. She received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Dayton and a Bachelor’s in International Diplomacy from Wright State University.
